A Family Business Built on Trust

Good Hands Water & Fire Restoration was established in 2014 with a clear mission: to help families affected by water and fire damage put their lives back together — without adding to their stress.

We know that the worst part of damage is often not the damage itself — it’s dealing with the insurance company. That’s why we’ve invested in Xactimate certification, the same estimation tool that insurance companies use internally. As certified users, we’re in the top 1% of the industry, ensuring you get properly compensated.

Our goal is not to exaggerate the job, but to do it right. We take the entire burden from the homeowner — assessment, restoration, and insurance — so their only job is to live their life. When we’re done, it should seem like it never happened.

Good Hands Guarantee

The Good Hands Guarantee was created for our client’s peace of mind. We understand that emergency situations are stressful and uncertain times. In order to alleviate the uncertainty Good Hands Water & Fire Restoration guarantees that we will not charge you as the customer for any work performed during an emergency situation that the insurance carrier does not approve. What this means is that during emergency situations when you have had a water or fire loss, and emergency mitigation is required, you will not have to worry about portions of our mitigation bill that the insurance does not include in their approved scope of work.

Our guarantee was built on the back of our standard business practice of putting the customer first. We have communicated with hundreds of customers who encountered bad actors in their time of need, and their stories have sculpted our company motto of prioritizing the needs of our clients, unlike others who look to exploit them. We know that our clients are not the expert, and that is why we take responsibility for ourselves as the leading experts to communicate effectively with the insurance carrier and demonstrate what is the proper scope of work. If we cannot reach an agreement with them regarding certain line items, we will not attempt to put that responsibility on the customer.

What applies and does not apply to our guarantee: Our guarantee applies to customers who have encountered a water or fire loss and have claimed damage to their insurance carrier. Line items in our estimate, or their individual prices may be questioned or argued by the insurance carrier. If we fail to justify said line items or their prices, those costs will not be put onto the customer. The guarantee applies in situations where the insurance takes on the loss, the insurance carrier’s denial of a claim as a whole is not covered by the guarantee. The guarantee does not apply to customers contracting and paying for our services out of pocket (no insurance claim filed). 

An example of our guarantee in action: Good Hands Water & Fire Restoration was called out to a water loss to perform emergency drying and mitigation. The homeowner had filed a claim with their insurance carrier. After our work was performed we submitted our estimate to the insurance carrier. The carrier reviewed the estimate and did not agree with the use of air sanitization equipment in the home, and did not include the use of that equipment in their approved estimate.
